Faceplates Your amp's faceplate is the first thing people examine when they are determining the professionalism of your build. Don't spend hundreds of dollars on caps and NOS tubes only to have a fellow builder, player, or potential customer dismiss your amp as junk due to a shoddy faceplate. Amplates will work with you every step of the way through the design process to help you craft a professional looking faceplate that will reflect the thought and care you put into every phase of building your amp. To see examples of our work in action check out the guitar amp faceplate gallery here. All you have to give us to get started are the dimensions of the plates and the hole placement and sizes. We'll take it from there and begin the design process. You'll receive pdfs of your plates to approve, and only after you are 100 percent satisfied with the design will the plates be engraved. We don't charge by the hour for design, so you can take all the time you need to really get the amplate perfect. How to measure your chassis for a faceplate: Measure your chassis holes from the left and bottom of the plate to the center of the holes. Do not use fractions (e.g. 3/4 for .75), and do not measure from hole to hole. We can accept measurements in decimal Imperial notation or Metric. For an example of how to do it, check out the easy to follow diagram below:  And speaking of cost, here's how we price our products: Every order is subject to a $25 design/file processing fee that covers all aspects of designing, laying out the plate, preparing files for engraving, and forwarding final files to the engraver. Note that this charge is PER ORDER, not per plate. Shipping/handling is a flat $12 for U.S. addresses, and $38 for foreign. Again, this is a PER ORDER charge. (Maximum 4 faceplate designs and one logo plate design per order.) The price of the plates themselves depends on the size and material used. You can calculate your plate price by using the following formula: Plate length (inches) X Plate height (inches) X Material cost (see chart below) = Plate cost For example, a 16" X 2" black/white plastic faceplate would cost the following amount: Design/file processing: $25 Plate engraving: 16" X 2" X $1.00 = $32 Shipping: $12 TOTAL FOR THIS ORDER: $69 If you wanted to add a backplate to the above order, you'd simply add the cost of another plate to the total. The design and shipping fees would not be any more. Here is the chart of stocked materials. We can do other materials, too, but there is a $25 special order fee for those.
